Yes. I got mine extended in FL with EAD.. but the extension was only for an year eventhough the EAD was for 2-years.

Even with H1, they renew the DLs only for a year. That the way FL rolls. I've been renewing every year since 2002.

Dude, It is only fair to say that your employer is entitled to keep his money, but if you are worried about not having pay stubs to prove your continuous employment then you work it out with your employer, pay back his money and get your salary. It won�t be easy cause you have already pissed him off.

I have applied for H1B Extension for 3 years based on I-140 approval at VSC under premium processing.
Just want to know that I have submiited following documents along with it, are they sufficient/enough to get approval?
1. Resume
2. Master's mark sheets,Degree & Transcript
3. Bachelor's Mark Sheets,Degree & Transcript
4. Previous H1B Approval Copies
5. Old & New passport copies
6. I-94 Copy (Front & Back)
7. Client Letter with resposiblities,role,technologies & project details (without end date)
8. Business card for me from client
9. Business card for Client Manaager
10. Vendor Letter with resposiblities & project details (stating that can't provide contract papers between vendor & client due to client's policy)
11. Last six months pay checks.
12. Last three years W2’s (2007, 2008, 2009)
13. Copy of I-140(EB-2) Approval notice
14. SSN Copy
15. Driver License Copy
16. Degree evaluation report
17. Contract papers between employer & vendor (not purchase/work order)

I have a few questions and much thanks for those who answer.
1. I have had a H1-B in 2002, but I did not get a stamping. I quit my job and went back to school. I'm out of school now, do not have an OPT (second masters) and worried about the cap.
I heard that people who have held H1-B's in the past do not come under the cap. Is this true?
2. A company is interested in hiring me but only in the muiddle of August (they want to conduct a few more interviews). The cap would most likely be reached by then. Do I have any other options?

--H1-B Case History--
Had H1 with company X from June 04 to Dec 07. Applied for extension in Jun 07.
Got RFE in Feb 08, received Denial on May 2nd, 08.had 2 options at that moment
(1) Make an appeal ( which i did)
(2) Leave the country in 30 days. ( which i obviously not choosen)
Made appeal. same time applied for H1-B Transfer with Company Y with Premium Processing
on May 29th,2008 through consular processing. Received Approval Notice on Jun 6th, 2008
with Same I-94 number that of company X. I have to get visa stamped with
company Y asap.
--Points to be noted--
(1) paystubb are still generated with company X till current date.
(2) passport coming to expiration on March, 2009
(3) I'm currently working at the client site.(started since Sep, 07)

My I 140 alone was applied on July12th as we did not know anything about the revision that time.
I did not recieve the receipt notice yet and I called USCIS and they dont have a record of my entry yet.
Mine was a labor substitution with my current company itself. My current company is a multi billion dollar US firm and they go by the rules, so I am not worried about my I 140 approval.
Since my I 140 was applied based on a labor subsitution, and if my I 140 receipt comes in August ( lets say august 10th), would I still be considered in the July bulletin ?

Decided to go ahead and mail in the medical reports along with copies of our 485 receipts since my PD became current in the Aug bulletin. Hoping this will prompt them to dust off my application since I haven't had a LUD for quite sometime.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, please read my earlier posts on re-using finger prints through the BSS (Biometrics Storage System) implemented a while back by USCIS. Only a small number of applicants will get a second FP notice. See the below for more information:

I did not have prior information about this call, else I would,ve ask them 2 questions.
1) Why Don't USCIS give 2 years AP too..
2) USCIS should publish some statistics on how many Employement based AOS applications they have pending, what EB categories they are in along the the chargeable country and priority dates..

The most important thing for all of us now is OUR COLLECTIVE SUPPORT TO IV by instant contribution, to accomplish these reforms which can change many lives and careers. I think this the biggest expected reform, bigger than July 2nd filing SUCCESS, thus we should do HIGHEST contribution to pull it to our side. We should think - What I, as an individual, am doing for this peaceful lobbying? Am I doing anything? can I do more? and then we will find ways to help IV and help ourselves. Then we would not think twice to add $100 or $200 which is about 1/10 th cost of your 1 month apt rent - and stop paying rent forever after greencard and saving millions with free job change, multiple jobs, own business, or buying house etc.
Everybody should realise the importance of getting the some relief rather than nothing with further discussion on ROW effect, please!

This is a perfect example of creating more problems for everyone including yourself. IF everyone applies 2 H1 just to make sure there probability increases the overall probability of one getting H1 stays the same. The problem comes when someone plays by book and applies only one H1. By your action his probability is decreased. This is something my conscious won’t allow. When i was applying a H1 i had option to go for a regular H1 or last years left over masters Quota (The first year masters Quota opened, USCIS started accepting applications in Jan for that already started fiscal year). I decided to go for the Masters one so that i don’t use up a number from the coming year's regular or masters quota .. i could have saved money staying on OPT but i did not
Moral of the story .... please think about ur actions and be considerate to others. We is stronger then me.
